What is Thermika? Innovative Window Inserts for Better Insulation

Thermika is an add-on window pane that sits inside the interior frame or jambs of an existing window. You could think of it as an “interior storm window” or a “window insert”.

Thermika is a ready to install unit comprised of a high-quality, optically clear acrylic sheet combined with proprietary, patent-pending silicone components. The unique, flexible edging allows you to simply press the pane into position–the edging will deflect against your window’s frame, and the resulting friction and deformation will hold the pane very, very securely in place.

Windows are a wonderful element of any building, but they’re notoriously energy inefficient and poor at blocking noise from outside. Thermika panes substantially improve the R-value of existing windows, they all but eliminate drafts from poor window seals, and they also significantly reduce sound transmission from the outside.
